3D Scan
We use a camera that creates a 3D image can of your teen's teeth. This can help us show your child's teeth from every angle. This cutting edge technology will let you see how they will look at the end of your orthodontic journey.
We find it important to communicate the problems through imaging. Sometimes it is very obvious when you can see a misaligned bite on the computer screen.
The scan is fantastic for helping parents visualise where the teeth will end up at the end of treatment.
How Long Will My Child's Braces Take?
Dr Gaffey focuses on the end goal of getting you through orthodontics in as little time as possible. This requires careful planning, use of tips he has developed over his decades of experience and a little help from you. Some of our cases are completed in approximately a year or less, others can take 2 years. Even better, we find 90% of our orthodontic appointments are on time. Your time is valuable to us.
How Much Do Teen Braces Cost
Dr Jack aims to keep your costs as low as possible. We don't have a huge marketing budget with TV or newspaper campaigns. Our small boutique practice allows us to have one of the lowest prices for braces in Adelaide.
Our Fees can be significantly lower than many other practices. We also include discounts for siblings (having a family can be expensive, we aim to make this a little easier).
If extractions are needed we also provide a significant discount for this as part of the plan.
The good news is that when you leave our practice, you will have the entire cost of treatment without any add ons.
Payment Plans

Our braces payment plans start from $51 per week. We know these plans can be $3000 cheaper than other practices. They then charge additional amounts for visits or final retainers. How crazy is that?

Age 12 to 16 is the most common time to start braces treatment and other Teen Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment is most commonly started between the ages of 12 and 16 because most permanent teeth have erupted into place by this time. Gaps, crowding, and issues with bite and alignment are easily detected by this time. Bone and jaw structure have sufficiently formed to allow orthodontic treatment to begin. Some kids and teens may have already begun Phase I treatment at an earlier age, and now may be the time to follow up with full braces or other orthodontic treatment.
